PERSONAL NOTES
• SiSoft Sandra and 3DMark are among the most popular
benchmark utilities for the computer hobbyist.
• In previous edtions, 3DMark was useful as a full system
benchmark, but with the 2003 edition, it is now very
video heavy (as the name would imply) and pays almost
no attention to the difference in CPUs.
• GL XS looks like a worthy contender for the Video
Benchmarking Throne (since that ball has been dropped
by FutureMark)
• TPC benchmarks are Enterprise-level benchmark tools.
