Unlike Win9x/ME, there is no native facility in NT/2000
for creating a bootable DOS diskette which would allow
you to flash the BIOS of your computer, for example.

You can, however, generate a disk which will allow you
to boot into NT, or use 3rd party software to create a
normal bootable DOS floppy.

Windows XP, however, allows you to create a bootable DOS
diskette via the GUI (Windows Explorer).

PERSONAL NOTES

• BootDisk.com is the best place to obtain DOS boot
  disks for a variety of Windows OSes

• WinXP can create a DOS-bootable diskette, but unlike
  its Win98 counterpart, it lacks CDROM support.

• WinImage is an excellent utility for creating and
  storing boot disks for different purposes.
