Under Windows NT, the default groups are too broad to
allow proper delegation of admin responsibilities. You end
up with too many people in the Domain Admins group, and
no easy way to limit various departments to simple
User Management.

Windows 2000, with Active Directory, provides far more
granular administration than its predecessor. Here are
some products which will provide similar functionality
under NT4 (they work on Win2K too):
