Check out GDISK, a free, enhanced FDISK utility that will
obliterate partitions, and can be used in unattended
installation scripts via the command line.

There are a couple of other utilities, including some
from Microsoft (DELPART & DEBUG) which will get rid of
various types of partitions that FDISK may not want to
interfere with.
NOTE: If you are looking to install any of the NT-family
of OSes (NT/2000/XP/2003 Server) there is no need
for you to format the drives in advance using FDISK
and format from DOS or Win9x. All of this can be
done rather easily via the setup CD.

PERSONAL NOTES
• If you want to format a drive that has NT/2000/XP on
it so that you can install Win9x, you have several
options:
-- Boot from the NT Setup CD and format the drive,
then quit the install
-- Use one of the tools mentioned above to get rid of
NTFS on the drive.
