Windows (95 and higher) comes with the Briefcase utility
for synchronizing files across multiple machines, but
there are better products out there.
Windows 2000 supports "Offline Folders", which is a much
better implementation of the Briefcase. If you really want
to access the BriefCase under Win2K and WinXP, just run
SYNCAPP at the run line (START --> RUN --> SYNCAPP) and a
nice little "My BriefCase" icon will manifest itself upon
your desktop.
Robocopy is an excellent utility for scripting your own
synchronization jobs on your machine or network. Provides
lots of options, including verbose logging.

PERSONAL NOTES
• You can synchrize files by manually scheduling jobs
which use the ROBOCOPY command from the ResKit.
• The BriefCase is available in Windows 2000/XP/2003
by running SYNCAPP.EXE
