Here are some tweaks and utilities that can assist you in
attaining optimal performance connecting over LAN, Cable,
DSL or Modem.
The bandwidth tests below will give you an idea of your
maximim possible bandwidth. However, real-world downloads
may be constrained by other factors:
• The size of the pipe (upload) at the destination
• The busy-ness of the server on the other end
• The number of hops between you and the server
• The size of the links between you and the server
• The congestion of the links to the remote server
