Although Windows XP is much better than previous versions
of Windows in terms of where various related settings are
found, trying to locate all of the dialog boxes related
to Visual Styles can be downright confusing.

SETTING CLEAR-TYPE

1. Right-Click on some clear spot on your Desktop
2. Select “Properties”
3. Click on the “Appearance” tab
4. Click on the “Advanced” button
5. Adjust to your hearts’ content

SETTING OTHER VISUAL EFFECTS

1. Right-Click on “My Computer”
2. Select “Properties”
3. Click on the “Advanced” tab
4. Click on the “Settings” button within “Performance”
5. Click on the “Visual Effects”
6. Adjust to your hearts’ content

Note that “Show Windows Contents While Dragging” is an
option available in both locations…
